[She was much the same; guns were business, knives were usually some flavor of passion. Anger, jealousy, feelings that bubbled hot in her chest. She liked them, though. How they felt in her hand, the metal against skin.]

I see. So what would you consider worth your time?

[She was considering it, for a moment, maybe longer than that. She hated to say it, wouldn't put it in text or even admit it to Sana, but there was a thrill to this- whatever game it was they were playing. Something far more interesting than the boys she'd seen at the bars and the raves.

He seemed different from everyone else in a way she couldn't quite have explained. But then so was she.]
