[From where Ava's standing there are far worse coping strategies than blasting music that you liked. She'd sort of wanted to hit something just from feeling so out of the loop, she can only imagine what it's like from his perspective. But he turns it down, and she smiles a little, that bright glint to her blue eyes.]

Yeah, just a few minutes ago. I like the tunes.

[Old, sure, but Ava's been listening to pretty much the same music since she turned twelve, so she's hardly one to judge. Of course, talking about music isn't really why she's here, and she knows that he's smart enough to be aware of that. But Ava's never been great with people, so just coming out and asking him how he's holding up was hard. It wasn't like they'd been close enough to where it was the sort of thing that had precedent.

But she'd been worried. And it had seemed- important. Easier than reaching out to Natasha and either having the call fall into the ether or have to talk to Natasha and ask for help. She didn't need to be rescued twice.]

I know Nat's gone, but- you mind if I stay a while?

[That's easier. Not that she doesn't have anywhere else to go, exactly. But with the Avengers falling apart, she can't just watch it happen.]
